I'm excited about the A-Team movie, not only because it has Liam in it but also because I loved the A-Team when it was on TV. The early word on the movie is that its a bunch of cheesy jokes and explosions. Which is exactly what I loved about the tv show lol. cute guys and explosions. Perfect summer movie. I'm also looking forward to Hex. More 80's stuff. I read the comics way back when, and liked sarcastic, pragmatic, violent Hex. Hopefully its a good adaptation of the comics.

Inception, Inception, Inception. I'm whoring that out to everyone and anyone who will listen. It was a spectacular film.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and The Expendables come out August 13, so that'll be a full-day movie marathon for me. I'm an Edgar Wright fanboy, even when Simon Pegg and Nick Frost aren't included, and the sneak peek leaked reviews are unanimous in praise for SP. I was on board from the first trailer.

The beats in Inception are pretty tight so no matter what time you get up, you'll be missing something. I'd say maybe when you first see the snow world (that'll make sense when you see the movie), you have some time to jet outta there and not miss anything too heavy. I think that occurs around the late mid-point.
The parts with Mal are very exposition-heavy but thoroughly laden with revelations. They may appear slow, but you'll be lost if you miss them.

so, we went to see Salt, even though Inception was right there playing at a similar time. At the time the extra hour of movie watching didn't appeal to me.
What is all the hype about this movie? I thought it was completely predictable.

The hype about Salt really revolves around the lack of a strong female lead in action flicks. I think there was a lot of hope that this would be the female Jason Bourne and would prove that action flicks don't need shaky cams or testosterone to succeed. Unfortunately, because the story was so predictable and by-the-book and not really stand-out in any way, it didn't live up to the hype.
Side note: I spelled "the" as "teh" in every single instance I attempted it today.

we'd have never caught on that your misspelling was for real and not geek speak. So are you or anyone else going to Expendables Friday night?

Expendables was truly an explosions and violence type movie, with little distracting plot in between. But sometimes you just gotta love that. And tactics. and a grenade launch option on your gun.
